Data/Pensions Analyst

Do you enjoy implementing solutions as part of a collaborative project team?

Do you have knowledge of pensions data and/or DB pension calculations?

We are looking for a driven individual to join our Business Systems team and provide administration teams with the member data, system functionality and automation needed to administer the pension scheme.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from either our Birmingham or Sheffield offices.

This role is flexible, we’re looking for someone who has expertise in either Pensions Data and/or Pensions Transitions (Calculations Specifications) so please read on and click apply if you have either background.

What the day will look like

  • Working on both new client implementations, and supporting our existing client portfolio

  • Implementing solutions in line with client needs, legislation requirements and our Aon strategy

  • Working with our teams to ensure system is fit for purpose for our clients

    Depending on your background being in data or transitions then your day might look a little differently.

    Data

  • Completing member data analysis, including identifications of data gaps/issues

  • Specifying member data mapping to our pensions administration platform

  • Carrying out system setup in line with member data and automation needs

  • Testing and reconciliation of member data

    Transitions

  • Liaising with stakeholders to gather scheme information and automated calculation requirements

  • Specifying test matrices to identify applicable test scenarios

  • Creating test cases for individual member pension calculations

  • Working with the Calculation Programmer and admin team to ensure calculations are built, tested, and signed off on our admin system

    How this opportunity is different

    As a Systems Analyst, you will get the opportunity to interact with a wide range of colleagues and teams across our Pensions Administration business. You’ll work on client projects and play a key part in capturing requirements and specifying solutions.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Be proactive and self-motivated, with a desire to own and deliver the best solutions for Aon

  • Have previous experience of pensions data analysis and pensions admin systems, and/or pensions benefit administration

  • Have strong time-management skills, able to prioritise and manage several projects

  • Ability to identify project risks/issues, and work with internal stakeholders to mitigate

  • Experience in working with MS Excel and MS Access would be an advantage
