Township of Shelby PRM Grounds Maintenance Worker in Shelby Township, Michigan
The Charter Township of Shelby's Parks, Recreation, and Maintenance Department is now accepting applications for a part-time/ seasonal Grounds Maintenance Worker. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a current driver's license, and a clean driving record. Interested applicants must be available to work approximately 30-40 hours a week, Monday Sunday between the hours of 7:30 am 10:00 pm, during the summer.
The hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $10.30 - $13.60 per hour, no benefits.
Some of the job duties associated with this classification include, but are not limited to:
- Open parks; check/empty trash cans, check restrooms for cleanliness or problems, rake playground areas, etc.
- Preparation of ball fields; rake, drag fields with groomer, chalk lines, change bases
- Mow and whip turf
- Weed/mulch landscape beds
- Shovel snow, salt sidewalks
- Trim walk/hiking/biking trails of brush
- Plow sidewalks and parks
- Paint
- Pick up and deliver parts and supplies
- Plant flowers and shrubs
- Assist full time employees with various projects
