Newell Brands Production Operator III - 1st Shift in Shelbyville, Tennessee
JOB TITLE: Production Operator III
Job Classification: Hourly
Reports to: Operations Supervisor
Responsi bilities:
· Set-up and start-up automated production equipment
· Maintain order and cleanliness of area
· Ability to troubleshoot and make necessary adjustments as required to maintain quality performance
· Must drive productivity and efficiency performance while maintaining highest levels of safety and quality
· Maintain adherence to production schedule
· Perform machine changeovers as needed
· Performs necessary calculations before and after each production order
· Completes necessary paperwork to record performance and data tracking
· Perform other duties as assigned
· Accountability for cell results
· Must have the initiative and be able to work with maintenance group to repair automated equipment
· Willingness to learn new technologies
· Communicate with technical vendors
· Able to train other operators
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude
· Knowledge of LOTO practices and proper machine guarding
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· Drive for results
· Ability to use tools
· Ability to work overtime as needed
· Must have an excellent safety & quality record

Minimum Qualifications
· Visual aptitude – must be able to see with or without correction.
· Communication – ability to communicate verbally or non-verbally.
· Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach, and grasp for varying periods of time during the workday.
· Must be able to lift 30 lbs. up to shoulder height at an occasional rate.
Education/Experience
· High school diploma or GED required.
Consumer products industry experience preferred.
