Job Title: Construction Accounting Specialist
Location: Shelton, CT area
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Construction Accounting Specialist to join an established team. This role involves several accounting responsibilities within our construction business. This is a newly created position due to growth and partnering with a team in the accounting department. The candidate's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Job Responsibilities:
Reviewing and entering Subcontractor AIA billings.
Entering vendor/supplier invoices.
Handling Contractor/Vendor Lien Waivers.
Reconciling monthly invoices
Weekly check-runs and posting of payments
Working with Project Managers and Contracts team for ongoing needs and compliance.
Assisting in the preparation of job requisitions
Job Costing duties
Assist with Ad hoc needs for Accounting Manager and Controller
The candidate will have prior experience in the construction industry with related accounting responsibilities, specifically knowledge of AP. Job Costing experience helpful, but willing to train if needed.
This position offers a wide salary range of $60,000-$75,000, depending on experience. Requirements
• Experience in Construction Accounting is required.
• Must have a understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures.
• Familiarity with Job Cost is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must possess strong organizational and time management skills.
