Morgan Stanley Investment Management China (MSIM China), strives to provide diverse investment management services to a full spectrum of clients across both individual and institutional investors. Responsibilities:

I. Market Research and Analysis

1. Macroeconomic analysis

  • Track the macroeconomic condition, policy dynamics and market trends, etc., and analyze their impact on the bond market and convertible bond market.

  • Focus on the release of domestic and international economic data to assess the potential impact of economic trends on the bond yield curve; analyze the relationship between macroeconomic factors and the price trend of convertible bonds to provide a macro perspective for investment decisions.

2. Bond and convertible bond market research

  • Monitor convertible bond market, including volatility, trading volume, convertible premium rate and other indicators.

  • Study the characteristics and investment opportunities of convertible bonds in different industries, and analyze valuation of convertible bonds.

  • Monitor the dynamics of the bond market, including interest rate trends, changes in credit spreads and market liquidity.

  • Analyze the relative performance and investment value of different bond varieties, such as treasury bonds, GDFIs, corporate bonds and financial bonds.

  • To study the supply and demand relationship in the bond market and forecast market trends and investment opportunities.

3. Underlying stock research

  • Conduct in-depth research on the stocks underlying convertible bonds, including company fundamentals, financial analysis, industry competitiveness, etc.

  • Evaluate the investment value and upside potential of the underlying stocks, as well as the impact on the price of convertible bonds.

II. Investment Decision Support

1. Assist in formulating investment strategies

  • Discuss and formulate bond investment strategies with fund managers, including duration management, credit allocation, variety selection, etc.

  • Discuss and formulate convertible bond investment strategy together with the fund manager, including portfolio management, industry allocation, and individual bond selection.

  • According to the market situation and investment objectives, put forward specific investment proposals and operation programs.

2. Portfolio management

  • Assist the fund manager in the construction and adjustment of the investment portfolio to ensure that the portfolio meets the investment strategy and risk control requirements.

  • Monitor the bond risk indicators of the investment portfolio, such as duration, credit risk, interest rate risk, etc., and make timely risk warning and adjustment recommendations.

  • Monitor the portfolio's convertible bond risk indicators, such as net value volatility, retracement, conversion premium rate, etc., and make timely risk warning and adjustment recommendations.

3. Performance analysis and assessment

  • Track and analyze the performance of the investment portfolio, compare it with peer group and benchmark, and assess the effectiveness of the investment strategy.

  • Attribution analysis, summarize the lessons learned, and provide reference to optimize investment strategy.

  • According to the market situation and investment objectives, propose specific investment recommendations.

4. Risk Management

  • Assist the fund manager in risk assessment and management, formulate risk control measures and contingency plans.

  • Monitor the risk status of the investment portfolio, identify and deal with potential risk hazards in a timely manner.

III. Other Work

1. Data organization and report writing

  • Collect and organize information and data related to convertible bonds and bond investments, and establish investment database.

  • Write convertible bond and bond market research reports, portfolio analysis reports, etc. to provide basis for decision-making and external communication.

2. Fund investment client communication and service

  • Assist fund managers in communicating with clients and answering their questions about the funds.

  • Participate in client roadshows and investor education activities to enhance clients' experiences and trust in the funds.

3. Teamwork and research sharing

  • Work closely with team members to share research results and investment experience to improve the overall investment level of the team.

  • Assist in accomplishing other tasks of the fixed income team, such as sharing research in themes, actively participating in team meetings, external communication and training etc.

1.More than 2 years of bond market, convertible bond market, stock market, industry,etc. (not limited to) research, trading, investment or other related experiences.

2.Excellent educational background, Master's degree or above from a top overseas institution (finance, economics, etc.), overseas related work experience is preferred.

3.Strong language and communication skills in both English and Chinese.

4.CFA/ACCA/CPA is preferred.
