We’re seeking a talented intern nest as our future Operations Excellence PM for Global Operations OES (Operation Excellence & Strategy) team in Amazon Devices and Services organization.
The Operations Excellence and Strategy team sets the pace for the entire Global Operations organization. They support the overall business and strategy planning for Global Manufacturing Ops and Sustaining Ops team, ensure our Global Operations has the right Goals, Resources and Initiatives in place to monitor Global Operations performance, track progress and report metrics. The team drives Continuous Improvement across the organization, and works with our employees to be the employer of choice.
Key job responsibilities
• Work with Strategy Excellence Lead to understand program requirements and jointly develop a solution which supports business goals, or solves a larger business challenge or problem.
• Scale & Simplify Business Operations: Develop and implement mechanisms to drive continuous improvements across the business, including process automation/elimination. For example, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and standardized business metrics.
• Perform data-based analytics to identify issues and report key insights.
• Lead 1-2 Path Finder of scaling Business Initiatives.
A successful candidate will demonstrate:
Passion for continuous improvement and developing mechanisms to resolve repetitive issue.
Ability to drive projects from initially ambiguous states;
Demonstrated ability of written skills on detailed project and business plans.
Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary;
Basic Qualifications
Fluent in both oral English and Madeiran, middle or higher-level reading and writing skills.
Program Management skills/Communication & Facilitation Skills/customer obsessed/self-motivated
Advanced computer literacy in Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to produce, interpret, and draw conclusions from data.
Preferred Qualifications
The ability or experience on facilitating a successful project work and operate under tight deadlines.
The ability or experience on building strong professional relationships with both internal and external partners.
Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and analytical thinking skills.
