Type: Full Time: 40hrs/week

Wage: $186,128.58-$205,462.40 yr/DOE + $20,000 retention bonus

Position Overview: Dentists provide dental care in the diagnosis and treatment of patients consistent with the scope of practice of the health center . Dentists are responsible for oversight of oral health care delivery, assuring quality oral health care services and adequate staff development.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing Dental Problems : Identifying issues such as cavities, gum disease, and oral infections through examinations and diagnostic tools like X-rays. Providing advice and treatment for misaligned teeth and bite issues, including recommending braces or aligners and making any necessary referrals to maintain patient care.

  • Treating Dental Issues : Performing procedures such as fillings and extractions to address dental problems.

  • Preventive Care : Educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices and providing preventive treatments like cleanings and sealants to avoid dental issues.

  • Patient Management : Managing patient care by creating treatment plans, monitoring progress, and ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction. This can also be in collaboration with other medical professionals for a more comprehensive care plan.

  • Continuing Education : Staying updated with the latest advancements in dental technology and practices to provide the best care possible.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all care provided and any changes in patient condition.

  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and contribute to a positive work environment.

  • Cultural Competence: Provide culturally competent care to a diverse patient population, respecting and valuing their unique needs and backgrounds.

    Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited dental school

  • Licensed as a dentist in the state of assigned clinic (WY)

  • Unrestricted DEA license

  • BLS certification

  • Valid driver’s license
