Coherent Corp (II-VI INCORPORATED) Process Engineering Technician - 2006341 in Sherman, Texas

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Release WIP from hold.
  • Execute OCAP following process specification.
  • Execute engineering experiment per instruction from engineer.
  • Train/certify operators.
  • Write / Proof-read process specification.

Education and Experience

Required Minimum Education -High School Diploma or equivalent

Expected Minimum Years of Related Experience -2 years

Skills

  • Knowledge of general semiconductor wafer processing and engineering practices
  • GaAs semiconductor processing or optoelectronics device experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of unit process
  • Knowledge of engineering statistics
  • Good written/oral communication skills
  • Fluency in MS Office suite as well as JMP or other statistics software

Working Conditions

  • Will be exposed to areas where hand tools and power tools are being operated
  • Will be exposed to areas where hazardous chemicals or gases are stored
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment per semi-conductor protocol/requirements

Physical Requirements

  • Work in a class 100/1000 clean room for extended periods
  • Wear full cleanroom attire (smock, mask, etc.)
  • Work with and/or around chemicals (such as solids and acids)
  • Stand for up to 4 hours at a time
  • Lift up to 16-30 Pounds
  • Push/Pull up to 16-30 pounds
  • Sit for up to 4 hours at a time

Safety Requirements

All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.

Works in a unit process area with process engineering to resolve process-related issues in manufacturing.

Executes experiments provided by engineering and collects results.

Backs up other process technicians if needed.
