Eaton Corporation Shipping Material Handler (Day Shift) in Sherman, Texas

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Shipping Material Handler (Day Shift). The hourly rate for this position is $21.20 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

HOURS: 6AM - 2:30PM

What you’ll do:

  • Collecting order notes to fulfill deliveries

  • Picking out ordered items from storage shelves using barcodes, serial numbers, etc.

  • Securely shrink-wrapping items before placing them in boxes or on pallets

  • Operating handling equipment according to industrial safety regulations

  • Loading delivery vehicles

  • Updating stock inventory after each item is retrieved

  • Managing stock control, including item replenishment and storage

  • You will receive training on use of power truck and other powered material handling equipment (ex. walking crane or hoist).

  • You will perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

  • Must have a minimum of six (6) months of Forklift experience both stand-up and sit down.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Sherman, TX will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong product knowledge.

Skills:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs. occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending

  • Ability to follow directions, work independently and close attention to detail

  • Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product

  • Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate¬

  • Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business

  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks
