Job Title: Document Control Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Document Control Specialist to manage and maintain our document control processes. This role involves attending meetings, auditing documents for accuracy, digitizing records, and maintaining industry standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in document management within a regulated environment and possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

  • Attend meetings on Mondays and Thursdays to take notes and publish them for the team.

  • Make revisions to process and procedures and control business records.

  • Audit all documents for accuracy.

  • Receive completed hard copy records from Quality Inspectors and Manufacturing, digitize, and electronically file those records.

  • Digitally destroy aged records that are no longer needed.

  • Maintain and procure new versions of industry standards through research.

  • Attend quarterly meetings to review the state of the business.

  • Retrieve documents as needed with client turnaround times as short as 2 hours.

  • Assist in new hire training, including Traceability Training and AS9100 general awareness training.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Experience in document management in a regulated environment

  • Inventory control experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with SharePoint is preferred

  • Understanding of continuous improvement/6 Sigma is preferred

  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or medical document control

  • 2 or 4-year degree is preferred

Work Environment

This role is fairly stationary, involving repetitive tasks performed mainly in the office but may occasionally require presence on the production floor. Appropriate attire with closed-toed shoes is necessary. Some lifting of hard copy files in bankers boxes (25-30 lbs) is required a few times a week. The position may require working on two different floors of the facility. Flexible work schedules are offered, including the possibility of working four 10-hour days or a half-day on Fridays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sherwood, Arkansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.34 - $19.23
