What you'll be involved in:
Due to the departure of the site Management Accountant we are looking to recruit a new Management Accountant to join our small onsite finance team.
This role will report directly to the Financial Controller and the main duties will initially include, but are not limited to, the following:
Ensure that stock and work in progress (WIP) are accurately valued in accordance with accounting policies.
Run the period end stock and WIP valuation reports, reconcile them to the General Ledger and identify stock to be included in the Excess and Obsolete stock provision.
Prepare accrual and prepayment calculations for the monthly management accounts.
Variance analysis comparing actual results to plan and forecast.
Perform monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Providing line management and guidance of the Finance Administrator
Posting the monthly payroll to the General Ledger.
Labour hours utilisation reporting
Oversee inter-company invoicing and reconciling group balances.
Preparation of the VAT return for submission to HMRC.
Other tasks and projects to support the Financial Controller and Site Leadership Team.
What we're looking for in you:
CIMA or ACCA fully qualified or finalist.
Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Maths or equivalent experience
Experience and understanding of Manufacturing environments, would be ideal, but not essential
Have experience of working within a deadline structured delivery environment
Accurate with good attention to detail.
Able to work autonomously and part of integrated teams
Have excellent IT skills, especially within MS Excel spreadsheet development and manipulation
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Be able to work within a fast paced, ever changing business
Experience of being involved in new systems implementations would be of interest
This would also suit somebody who has further career ambitions to develop into a Financial Controller in the future
