Accountabilities
Conduct thorough analysis and make informed decisions on job details and emergencies
Maintain and account for tools, equipment, and assigned vehicles
Complete daily job safety inspection sheets and accurately read meters
Perform leak repairs, mains maintenance, fire hydrant management, new service installations, meter changes, and service repairs
Keep the direct Supervisor informed of field customer service issues and needs
Utilize PC tablets for field service applications and process service orders efficiently
Operate hand and power tools, as well as mechanical equipment, during various tasks such as installing, operating, and repairing mains, services, meters, valves, and fire hydrants
Assist in shutdowns, repairs, disinfection, and restoration of water service to customers
Oversee and direct contractors as needed
Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
Experience working in the water utility industry, plumbing industry, or similar mechanical experience
Hold or willingness to obtain an ADEQ Grade 1 Water Distribution license
Valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record
Basic computer skills, including Windows operations knowledge, and experience with communication devices
Ability to work as part of a team
