Job Summary:

Organizes and provides analytic support for the hospital’s clinical and operational improvement practices. Accountable for developing and maintaining strong analytic capability for HCH. Accountable for development, implementation and evaluation of critical decision-support materials to support the measurement, analysis and reporting of organization-wide clinical and operational performance improvement activities and teams. Serves as an internal expert in quality IT support systems, may include, MIDAS information system, Business Objects/PIE, Crimson, CRISP, Quality Compass.

Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree, with concentration in clinical health care field, health administration, health systems administration, information systems, bio-statistics or a related field. Master's Degree preferred.

  • Minimum of one to two (1-2) years of experience, preferably in health care organization, performing data analysis of clinical and/or operational information.

  • Decision support software systems, Business Objects/PIE report writing, and/or rational databases to build spreadsheets, reports and dashboards. Experience with Microsoft Office Products: Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel; working knowledge of Tableau preferred.

  • Ability to develop and design reports using software such as Business Objects, Crystal Report, Epic Data Analytics, Crimson Data Hub Analytics or similar tools preferred.

  • Proven ability to present data and ideas in an organized, understandable format.

  • Strong analytic skills in areas that include basic statistical and improvement concepts with the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to support well-informed decision-making.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work with hospital management, physicians and nurses on data collection, analysis and presentation.

  • Well-developed problem solving and critical thinking skills.
