Description
We are offering a unique opportunity for a Senior Accountant in SILVER SPRING, Maryland. The role primarily involves accurate reporting of the company's gross and gross-to-net revenue results, contract reviews, preparation of monthly journal entries, and internal and external reporting of the company's net revenues. This role is in the biotech/biopharma industry and is based in a dynamic workplace environment.
Responsibilities:
• Partnering with internal business teams and external consultants to analyze and report the quarterly net revenue results, including GTN results, to senior management
• Reviewing revenue agreements to comprehend the operational and accounting impacts to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP revenue recognition rules
• Performing analysis of internal and external data sets to assist in strategic decision-making by internal stakeholders
• Recommending improvements to revenue operations and procedures, including identifying process efficiencies and supporting implementation of process improvements and/or automation
• Supporting other members of the Finance team with special projects and initiatives
• Recording accurate and timely gross and gross-to-net (GTN) revenue results in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Preparing revenue-related disclosures to assist in the preparation of 10-Q and 10-K filings
• Undertaking other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate for this Senior Accountant role will have an ACTIVE CPA, 3+ years of public accounting experience and a strong understanding for revenue (ASC 606) as well as US GAAP.
