Express Employment Professionals Food Service Worker in Silverdale, Washington
Overview: We are seeking reliable Food Service Workers for on base galley kitchen work serving to enlisted military members and their families.
JOB DUTIES:
Perform a full range of food service tasks, to include but not limited to:
- Set up food service counters, steam tables, dining room tables, side service stands with hot and cold food, including meats, vegetables, salads, bread, butter, and beverages.
- Serve food cafeteria-style to diners.
- Serve tables family-style by placing dishes of food on tables and refilling as necessary.
- Make coffee in large urns according to the number of servings desired, with responsibility for timing and brewing.
- Make a variety of fruit and vegetable salads such as fresh fruit, tossed green, tomato and lettuce, and lettuce wedges.
- Serve food in standard portions by placing uniform amounts in small dishes or glasses in prescribed quantities.
- Make simple sandwiches.
- Pack boxed lunches.
- Ability to concentrate and avoid distractions when several people ask for different items at the same time.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic and read instructions is required.
Qualifications:
- Ability to pass Background Screening for base access.
- Ability to lift 40lbs unassisted.
- Work requires continual standing, walking, frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling. and bending.
- Knowledge of basic industry standard cleaning and sanitation principals.
- Provide a current food handlers permit.
Hours/Shift: Monday-Friday 3:30AM-12:00PM OR 4:00AM-12:30PM
Pay: $17.39/hour
