As a Labcorp intern, you will have the opportunity to support meaningful assignments that compliment an education in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Finance, Marketing, Communications, Business and Sales - and are inspiring and valuable in our mission to improve health and improve lives across the globe. Internship Assignment Summary:
Performs any combination of sample accession tasks, including opening, entering, tracking, labeling, shipping and disposition of samples. Reviews sample inventory against samples to ensure accuracy and communicate discrepancies
Informs Study Director, Principal Investigator and/or management of any problems during standard and study sample log in.
Certified to be an “after hours’ sample receipt” team member, as appropriate.
Work with procurement to order lab supply for the studies.
Maintains study documentation and laboratory records.
Perform routine instrument calibration and maintenance.
Sets up, operates and performs routine and non-routine maintenance on general equipment.
Contributes towards a cohesive team environment.
Maintains a clean and safe laboratory work environment.
Participates in process improvement initiatives.
Participates in client visits as needed.
Plans individual workload in coordination with team members.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education/Qualifications/Skills:
College degree or above in chemistry or related scientific field
Experience may be substituted for education.
Ability to perform basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel).
Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
With good job responsibility, carefulness, patience and earnestness.
