The Logistics Compliance Operations Coordinator will be part of a Global Onsite Team (located at customer's premise) supporting one of Expeditors high-tech customers. The Logistics Compliance Operations Coordinator is the primary member in Record Keeping, Documentation and Reporting Function, assists in regular Brokerage related reporting, Post Clearance Documentation and Record Keeping for the region. The team works closely with cross-functional teams as well as external service providers to effectively support Technical Infrastructure operations and manage day to day compliance operations. The dynamic nature of this team requires individuals who can think quickly, act independently, and proactively solve problems before they arise. Strong customer service skills and effective communication are required.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Adequate knowledge about the Customs Import and Export Operations
Following up with the Customs Broker for clearance of Imports and Exports
Manages and responds to requests via the customer's proprietary ticketing system.
Ensure smooth and timely export/import process flow, and tickets are resolved quickly to prevent disruptions in Supply Chain.
Able to navigate through the different Brokers, Service Providers in the region and obtain all necessary documentation and ensure completeness in Record Keeping.
Work in close coordination with the other Onsite team members and Customer Manager
Liaison with Brokers and Third-Party agents for Licensing/Permit Requirements.
Maintaining record of Import/Export Shipments and related documentation
Assist the customer Manager in Post Clearance queries and responses.
Monthly MIS preparation and maintenance of statutory records and database.
Ensure 100% adherence to laws, regulations, and corporate policy. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Standard Work Instructions (SWI), external government regulations and customer policies / requirements.
Responsible for daily tracking of operational metrics.
Attention to detail and elevates matters with sense of urgency for timely resolution
Requires good communication skills in a collaborative environment
Provides information and recommendations to improve operational processes
Response to customer’s request in a timely manner
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
2+ years related experience in an in-house Logistics Operations, import or export operations preferred
Knowledge of air, road and ocean transport.
Good knowledge of incoterms
General Working Knowledge with APAC Customs requirements and Strategic Goods Control.
Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
Demonstrated effective collaboration across multiple-teams and functional groups
Ability to speak and write in English. Mandarin is an added advantage
Proficient in Word, Excel, email and various PC based software
