The Cigna Group Business Development Manager - Employee Benefits in Singapore, Singapore

Critical Tasks and Expected Contributions/Results:

  • Responsible for meeting assigned sales goals

  • Research and develop new business opportunities within assigned geographic areas/industry categories/market segments/channels

  • Generate and follow up new business leads to meet sales and profitability targets in line with overall strategy

  • Prepare focused, client-specific presentations for new business emphasizing the USP of the Cigna product Vs the competition

  • Build and maintain harmonious business relationship with benefits intermediaries to penetrate on individual client segments

  • Actively seek new prospects and leads directly for business opportunities by acting as an adviser to client on all aspects of their international medical insurance requirements

  • Continuously develop and build pipeline via assigned channel

  • Coordinate case implementations to ensure seamless inception processes

  • Participate in specific projects, e.g. review of service standards, development of product and pricing strategy as well as product literature

  • Exercises judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of both standard and complex techniques and procedures.

  • Report to Head of Business Development on sales business achieved etc in line with agreed format

  • Accurate data base management of prospects/potential customer and opportunities by means of CRM software (SFDC)

  • Ability to foster collaboration, value others perspectives and gain support and buy-in for organizational proposals

  • Liaise with internal departments, e.g. underwriting, claims teams, marketing, in line with established procedures to ensure optimum service to client

  • Participate in the research and development of new business opportunities and products.

  • Liaise with other Cigna worldwide offices to develop opportunities; to drive cross sell activities

Experience/Knowledge, Education and Other Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experiences in sales within health insurance industry

  • Technical/Functional expertise: Project Management, Analytical, Financial skills and Product Knowledge

  • Ability to drive results through thinking strategically

  • Ability to foster collaboration, value others' perspectives and gain support and buy-in for organizational proposals

  • Ability to work effectively with multi-discipline, multi-cultural teams

  • Supports and provides direction to more junior professionals.

  • Obtained required papers for licensing purposes.
