Job Description:

Job Summary

Operational Risk Management, being part of TDS APAC Risk Management team, performs the second line oversight of Operational Risks in the bank. The successful candidate will provide independent oversight and challenge to the 1st line of defense and ensures that the risk profiles of the region and legal entities is properly understood and operating in line with Operational Risk Appetite.

Accountabilities

Joining the Asia-Pacific Operational Risk Management Team, the successful candidate is expected to perform the following activities but not limited to:

  • Support the Asia-Pacific Operational Risk Management Team to deliver the Outsourcing Project and the subsequent business-as-usual review and challenge of outsourcing assessments.

  • Assist to review and challenge the completeness and quality of MAS Outsourcing Register prior to Governance and Controls' submission to MAS.

  • Review and challenge control testings to ensure key controls are appropriately assessed according to the control testing standards and guidelines.

  • Support the analysis of historical operational risk events and carry out risk-based deep dive reviews where necessary.

  • Assist and support APAC Head of ORM with project tasks as assigned

  • Provide administrative support as assigned

  • Innate ability to synthesize information, identify key issues and problem solve

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized university.

  • Familiarity with the Wholesale Banking Regulatory Environment.

  • Familiarity with MAS Outsourcing regulatory requirements

  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience within the Financial Services industry spent either within 1st line Business & Control Function or Operational Risk Management.

  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • VBA knowledge is preferred
