Responsibilities
Perform conventional machining operations to repair aircraft engine components using manual lathe, jig bores, milling, grinding and EDM.
Perform machining dimensional fits & clearance checks per technical manuals.
Perform various bench repair works such as blending, inserts & broken stud replacement.
Interpret machining dimensions & understand the requirements from technical blueprints.
Inspect work using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
Assist line supervisor in their daily operations to achieve production targets, corporate goals, and discipline.
Participate in EH&S, Quality, Ethics and Continuous Improvement projects and initiatives.
Perform various other duties as assigned by Workshop Engineer/Manager.
Requirements
Minimum GCE ’O’ Level, NITEC or equivalent.
Possess National Trade Certificate in Machining (NTC Certificate is mandatory).
Prior experience in handling conventional machining for horizontal lathe, milling and grinding is required.
Min 2 years of relevant conventional machining in manual lathe, jig bores, milling and grinding.
Ability to understand basic technical instructions and standard operation procedures (SOP).
Possess high level of integrity and accountability with a strong drive towards Quality.
Willing to work on rotating shifts (Day & Night) and overtime on need basis.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with a positive attitude towards change management.
Relevant aerospace, manufacturing or precision engineering experience is a plus.
