Job Summary
The Director of Acute Therapy and Clinical Services will oversee and direct acute therapy, inpatient wound services, and the Balance & Dizziness Clinic as well as other areas as assigned. In collaboration with appropriate interdisciplinary team members, is responsible for assuring that services are provided in a safe, efficient, and cost effective manner that enhances patient, staff and provider satisfaction. The director will work with budgets, develop, and implement operating systems, and manage quality improvement processes. In addition, the Director will be responsible for enhancing practice and services, ensure that the department meets all regulatory body requirements, and assist with developing policies for management functions for areas of responsibility and clinical programming.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience
Experience in leadership, multidisciplinary problem solving, and quality improvement preferred.
License/Certification/Registration
Licensed as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Therapist in the state of South Dakota required.
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday; Primarily Days w/possible evening/weekend involvement
