Avera Marshall Outpatient Therapist I in Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Responsibilities are to assist in coordinating, planning, implementing and facilitating programs and counseling services on an outpatient basis. The outpatient therapist’s responsibilities may include several of the following areas: individual, group and family counseling, crisis services/evaluation, tele-therapy services, and current and future groups/programs. All of these areas may involve providing assessments, facilitating treatment and crisis intervention of clientele affected by mental health or dual diagnoses issues. Providing community/education services will be a part of this position and some travel is occasionally required.
Certification, Licensure and/or Registration
South Dakota Professional License required; which includes one of the following:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker-LCSW or
Licensed Professional Counselor
Qualified Mental health Provider (QMHP) required within 6 months of employment, unless working on the addiction team inpatient or outpatient.
If working on the addiction team inpatient or outpatient, must be licensed as Addiction Counselor or currently in the South Dakota Addiction Counselor Trainee recognition status and obtainment of the Licensed Addiction Counselor within 36 months is required.
Requires valid driver’s license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
