Emerson Lean Manufacturing Engineer in SKELMERSDALE, United Kingdom
The Lean Manufacturing Engineer is a key member of our manufacturing team, responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing Lean principles to optimize our production processes. This role plays a pivotal part in enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout our manufacturing operations. By using their expertise in Lean methodologies, the Lean Manufacturing Engineer finds opportunities for process optimization and implements solutions to streamline workflows, improve productivity, and increase overall operational effectiveness. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Lead and facilitate Lean manufacturing initiatives, including value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen events, and waste reduction projects
Analyze current manufacturing processes to find opportunities for improvement and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and reduce waste
Develop and maintain standard work procedures, work instructions, and visual management tools to support Lean manufacturing principles
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to implement process changes and drive continuous improvement across all levels of the organization
Conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address production issues and drive sustainable solutions
Provide training and coaching to manufacturing teams on Lean principles, methodologies, and tools to build capability and foster a culture of continuous improvement
Monitor key performance indicators related to manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost, and implement corrective actions as needed
Create the ECR/ECN’s
Design engineering/technical support to customers
New product implementation into ERP system and final assembly
Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline workflows and reduce waste
