Great Plains Application, LLC Commercial Pilot / Equipment Operator in Slayton, Minnesota

Need 1 full time, temporary, seasonal Commercial Pilot / Equipment Operator to work in Slayton, MN. From: 06/15/2024 to 11/01/2024 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon. - Fri. 8 hrs./day, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The hours may vary during different times of the crop season. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Must Apply By: 08/24/2024 JOB DESCRIPTION: Perform duties on a farm for a farm like: Pilot will fly Cessna 188 for Great Plains Application, LLC's farms by applying chemical and fertilizer to crops. Worker will also Fuel the plane by connecting and disconnecting fuel hose to and from the airplane. Mix chemicals - Read and understand a load ticket. Load the plane with chemical by connecting and disconnecting load hose to and from plane. Load plane with fertilizer by driving and operating loader truck as well as operate forklift. Clean all equipment daily. Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Private Pilot's License (PPL), Commercial Pilot's License (CPL), Tailwheel Endorsement, and Pesticide Applicator License valid for Minnesota are required. Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive sitting is required. No minimum education beyond what is listed here is required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
