Primary Role Objective:

To carry out all activities assigned to ensure that production targets in terms of quality, quantity, volume are attained.

Reporting Line:

This position reports to the relevant departments Team Leader or Manager.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

General Area:

  • Budgets own time to carry out assigned duties that support business goals. Interacts constructively with employees, managers, and cross-functional peers

  • Completes compliant documentation and provides solutions to local problems

  • Works effectively within the team

Quality/Compliance:

  • Complete manufacturing and testing operations as required, adhering to GMP and GLP

  • Ensures compliance to site level policies and procedures by promptly reporting non-compliance issues to the team leader

  • Possess a basic understanding of the Quality System, including the Subsystems and is familiar with the Quality System Key processes

  • Participate and take all trainings and reviews as required on the Electronic Training Management System

Risk Management

  • Applies basic Risk Management principles to work

EHS:

  • Completes all activities in a safe manner ensuring that any potential safety issues and areas for improvement are highlighted to team leader

  • Ensures Environmental procedures e.g. recycling, waste minimization is adhered to, and improvements made where possible

Depending on Functional Area

  • Carry out operations in the manufacturing including solution formulation, in process, final release and stability testing

  • Completion of validation protocols on new products or product transfers

  • Completes training of new employees

  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and process simplification

  • Assist in compiling information for annual budgets

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum Leaving Certificate or equivalent plus Certificate in relevant Science/Engineering area, as this foundation will provide a basic understanding of the scientific/engineering disciplines and the ability to apply them

  • Previous experience in a diagnostic manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential. Previous experience would provide a foundation for the disciplines required for working as a Diagnostic Technologist.
