Leads development and implementation of Environmental (air, land, water, and waste) programs at the Covington site. Provides technical assessments, conducts training, prepares regulatory reports, coaches and advises employees on all aspects of environmental compliance/risk, and sustainable practices. Responsible for the Industrial Wastewater Compliance Program, Air Compliance Program, Sustainability Program, and Waste Management Program. Creates, reviews, and updates programs/procedures for all assigned environmental programs. Ensures detailed incident investigations, CAPAs, management of change documentation and field support for assigned programs. Conducts and participates in audits of assigned environmental programs, resolving and escalating issues promptly to senior management. Support EHS management inspections and committee meetings. Responsible for maintaining all documentation related to environmental programs and supporting internal and external audits. Provides non-routine problem solving to Engineering, Manufacturing, Research and Development groups through participation in committees. Implements the environmental management system as assigned and inputs environmental metrics into the software management program. Provides specialized training required by local and federal regulations to employees. Stays current on all regulatory changes with their assigned programs. Provides assistance with pollution prevention and waste minimization activities. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience :
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Safety or related science-based field is required; or Associate degree with at least 10 years of related experience
4-7 years of overall experience directly working in EHS with at least 4 years in an environmental related role with specific concentration in EPA regulations. Knowledge of GEPD rules preferred.
