Shire Shipping/Receiving Coordinator II in Social Circle, Georgia

Description:

Responsible for the Receiving, Storage and Distribution of Raw Materials, Plasma and Finished Goods

Maintain inventory of raw materials and plasma for the Georgia manufacturing facility

Responsible for executing all processes while strictly adhering to cGMP, environmental health and safety guidelines and any other related regulations, which could apply

Responsible for keeping and updated record of training, including new revision on Standard Operation Procedures (SOP’s) as well as any other training that is required for the department

Additional duties as required

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Supports all Warehouse and Plasma Operations processes

Physically and electronically receive materials. Operate material handling equipment (such as forklifts and pallet-jack)

Complete relevant paperwork following GDDP/GMP guidelines and operate in compliance with FDA, OSHA and MSDS

Participate on Continuous Improvement Teams

Perform daily cleaning of the production areas to maintain cGMP

May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Must have good written and verbal communication skills and understanding of cGMP regulations

Must be able to read and follow detailed written instructions

Must be able to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

Good interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment

This position requires shift, weekend and holiday work.  Overtime may be required at times

Basic computer skills

Education and/or Experience:

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent

Working Environment:

Must be able to work in cold environments requiring protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body

Must be able to work multiple shifts, including weekends

5% travel
