Contribute routine scientific knowledge or expertise to manufacturing support activities for achievement of project goals and solve routine lab and manufacturing problems with some assistance. ("Routine knowledge" implies a "solid understanding of technical field or administrative functions.") Under direction, conduct routine research and/or developmental activities. Plan details of assigned tasks within specific parameters. Organize data and prepare relevant QSR documentation for assigned projects. Write and issue reports with minimal guidance. Understand and apply applicable corporate and divisional SOPs. Maintain knowledge of relevant QSR and safety requirements. Employ appropriate techniques and methods to successfully conduct specific assignments within negotiated deadlines after receiving general instruction. Demonstrate working knowledge of basic technical theories and principles within area of expertise for routine tasks. Assess feasibility of simple research and design concepts within area of expertise. Support commercial manufacturing operations to meet fulfillment targets (lot release timing). Complete CAPA tasks to ensure on time release of lots; product impact assessments, corrective and preventive actions and root cause investigations as needed.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline with at least 0-3 years or MS with at least 0-2 years relevant experience, or equivalent
Key Skills, Abilities, and Competencies
The position requires relevant laboratory skills, writing skills, and computer skills plus teamwork/interpersonal skills Knowledge of and appropriate compliance with guidelines as well as Takeda internal requirements. Practical and working experience with Immunoasay based methods (ELISA’s, SDS-PAGE, IEF and Bioseparation techniques including HPLC/UPLC is preferable. Knowledge in the area of biochemistry, protein purification, and engineering principles
Complexity and Problem Solving
Act independently with minimal supervision to initiate and/or conduct studies and improvement projects for product quality, process robustness, product yield and cycle time based on recent technical knowledge.
Other Job Requirements
Must be able to push/pull 35 lbs. and lift/carry up to 25 lbs. Able to work in cold environment In general, the position requires a combination of sedentary work and laboratory work.
