The development center of SAP in Bulgaria plays a key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Business Technology Platform. YOUR FUTURE ROLE

Our services are designed and implemented using cutting-edge technologies, especially Kubernetes, and are running at large scale in all major cloud provider infrastructures. With a strong focus on reusability across the HANA Database & Analytics portfolio, we are fulfilling our responsibility to provide an enterprise-ready unified data and semantics layer that ultimately enables our customers to build mission-critical, scalable, and reliable applications on top of our services.

As a Developer and Cloud Engineer you will join an agile team and share with them responsibility for managing and provisioning our service infrastructure. You will help to extend and improve our observability infrastructure which plays a key role in providing monitoring, logging and alerting capabilities for our services. Our teams are empowered and self-organizing. You will participate in the design, implementation, and high-quality delivery of the solution. You may have to respond to incidents and their root cause analysis.

YOUR PROFILE

You will need:

  • A degree in computer science, informatics, business informatics or related areas

  • Experience in one or more programming languages, preferably Python or Golang

  • Experience in container-based software deployment with Kubernetes and Helm

  • Experience in open-source monitoring tools, such as Prometheus and Grafana

  • Strong interest in cloud-native software development on common hyperscalers, such as AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure

  • Very good language skills in English

  • Strong team player with the ability to drive tasks

The SAP HANA Database & Analytics organization is a global organization dedicated to delivering data management solutions that address customers unique and competitive business requirements.

The Common Service Infrastructure team is responsible for a set of integrated data platform and infrastructure services, which are the foundation of SAPs major cloud offerings SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud.

We are part of the Common Service Infrastructure organization, which provides and manages the foundation layer of SAPs data management cloud offerings including SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SAP Datasphere.

Our international scrum team works on observability services that are used for monitoring, logging and alerting of our cloud solutions. In our agile team, we employ collaborative working modes with knowledge sharing and mentorship. We offer continuous learning opportunities for the individual development of our team members.
