As a Territory Manager you will work with dealers, customers and business partners to support new and aftermarket sales by offering competitive financing solutions.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Initiates and develops strong customer, dealer and Caterpillar partner relationships through consultation with customers on initial transaction quotations, answering questions, structuring, pricing, and negotiating competitive offers based on customer risk profile, and obtaining final customer acceptance of transactions all while meeting business objectives.

  • Provides professional representation and consultation in a given territory, including training and onboarding for dealer management, sales, and support personnel concerning merchandising and financing programs for Caterpillar customers.

  • Analyses and evaluates the effectiveness of financing programs for the assigned territory; provides key economic activity, equipment market trends and competitive financial offerings to Caterpillar Financial, Caterpillar business partners, and dealers for the design of merchandising offers and inclusion in the business plan.

  • Consults with dealer personnel about finance concepts such as discounted cash flow, time value concepts, computation of interest, and financial accounting concepts to support dealer personnel to promote the sale of Caterpillar equipment and aftermarket solutions.

  • Continuously evaluates growth areas and potential new markets for possible financing opportunities.

  • Liaise with customers to maintain a sound understanding of credit profile, obtain necessary information in support of credit proposals and align Caterpillar Financial products with credit risk appetite and policy.

  • Performs administrative tasks to support transactions such as verification of customer identify and signatures on documentation, collection of initial payment and necessary insurance information for contract completion.

  • Supports customer service and portfolio activities as needed including answering customer questions, collection of past due payments, overseeing repossession of equipment and conducting equipment audits.

  • Participates in continuous improvement objectives in cross-functional teams to improve Caterpillar Financial processes.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience and understanding of sales and marketing of asset financing and aftermarket solutions.

  • Experience in developing and maintaining strong customer, dealer and Caterpillar business partner relationships while achieving business plan objectives.

  • Proven experience within the financial products market. (banking, leasing, or finance)

  • Ability to assess high level customer credit profile through interpretation of financial statements and ask necessary questions to meet minimum credit proposal requirements.

What will Caterpillar do for you?

Job Title: Territory Manager (Central-South region)

Salary: £42,515 - £55,269

Contract: Permanent.

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours.
