Job Description

AbbVie is looking for a Brand Manager within Immunology with a focus on Dermatology.

AbbVie has been engaged in the Immunology/ Dermatology field for a long time and is one of the leading companies within these areas. Our team is currently mainly focusing on Psoriasis and Atopic Dermatitis but we are also broadening our dermatology focus further in the coming years. As Brand Manager you will have a central role in the dermatology team and focus mainly on Atopic Dermatitis. In collaboration with the cross-functional team in Scandinavia you will lead the development of the Strategic brand plan and be highly contributing to the functional planning. You will take responsibility for analysing the market landscape, collect patient and customer insights as well as gathering insights of what is happening in the external environment and the development within the therapeutic area. These insights will be used to develop local strategies and activities that further establish our products in the market.

You will also be responsible for developing materials or localize global marketing content, mainly for the Swedish market. You will develop materials to be used in different communication channels, both printed and digital, and you have the possibility to try new ways of communicating, try innovative ideas and develop new ideas for customer activities.

The Brand Manager collaborates closely with the Scandinavian cross-functional team and is a key member of the Scandinavian brand team and the Swedish Strategic/Operational forum.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the brand planning process on Scandinavian level; ensuring appropriate adaptation from global brand plans so that local environmental factors and market dynamics are reflected in the strategies.

  • Highly involved in the development of the functional plans & account plans.

  • In close collaboration with the team, develop customer activities that are in line with set strategies and that further establish our products in the market.

  • Lead the cross-functional work for continuous gathering of insights regarding the patient journey, development of the market, environmental factors that effects the market as well market value drivers and perceptions of products in the market. Use these insights in the development of strategic plans as well as functional plans and activities/material development.

  • Lead and coordinates roll-out of appropriate Global/Area initiatives and campaigns and train sales force in the execution of brand plan/tactical plan and marketing initiatives/materials.

  • Ensure all functional deliverables are consistent with branding and set strategies and deliver emotional messages aligned to Global Brand Story. Lead the development in the team regarding multi-channel marketing to maximize our communication efforts for our products and ensure a high Share of Voice.

  • Guide the design and implementation of all marketing activities including innovative marketing tactics, traditional and non-traditional partnerships, multi-channel opportunities and multi-stakeholder initiatives to meet strategic brand objectives. Ensure to use a mix of digital and traditional communication channels to maximize AbbVie's Customer interactions opportunities.

  • •    Ensure that all material is aligned to local regulation and policies, and that material and activities are taken through appropriate approval processes.

  • Manage the promotional budget to maximum effect, ensuring effectiveness of spend and achievement of budget in order to deliver on objectives.

  • Establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all cross-functional colleagues and take a leading role in the Brand team and Strategic/Operational forums.

  • Spend time in the field to understand the development in the local market and be an active part in our customer activities.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent with a scientific background e.g. pharmacist, nurse or similar, or a university degree in marketing, business administration or similar.

  • Extensive experience from marketing & sales of pharmaceuticals is required.

  • Experience from brand/product management with a thorough understanding of marketing and brand building is required.

  • Experience from/ knowledge of Immunology and/or Dermatology is highly desirable.

  • Experience of working in cross-functional Scandinavian/Nordic teams.

  • Experience of Business planning, financial analysis of business opportunities, analysis of pharmaceutical market data.

  • Knowledge of regulatory and industry rules and regulations.

  • Ability to support the team within tight time frames and with responsibility of several parallel projects.

  • Structured, effective, creative, welcomes a challenge and able to take own initiatives.

  • Excellent written and verbal proficiency in Swedish and English is required.
