Exciting opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as a Program Support Specialist in our Early Head Start program via a 12 month Apprenticeship! The Program Support Specialist - Home Visitor Child Development Associate (PSS-HVCDA) is an apprenticeship opportunity to learn about early childhood home visiting. The Program Support Specialist-HVCDA will train for and complete required Home Visitor Child Development Associate credential requirements within programs orientation period to ensure appropriate credentialing of Early Head Start Home Visitor requirements. The Program Support Specialist - HVCDA functions as the liaison between the Riverside Early Head Start (REHS) program and families with infants or toddlers, or pregnant women to whom they are assigned. The Program Support Specialist-HVCDA, through home visits and socialization experiences, enhances the healthy growth and development of families by providing health, nutrition, early childhood and parenting education, social services, and problem-solving support to families in meeting their goals for themselves and their children. Schedule: Part Time, 20 hours a week 12 Month Apprenticeship with the possibility to apply for a Home Visitor position after completion based on available vacancies. Monday through Friday 9:30am to 1:30pm OR 1:30pm to 5:30pm Wednesday scheduling need of 9:30am to 3:30pm OR 12:30pm to 5:30pm Required Skills Proficient computer fluency, including Microsoft Office and data-based systems, required. Must be able to prioritize, plan work activities, and use time efficiently Valid Massachusetts driver?s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle preferred. Must receive background check clearance for Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI), Sex Offender Register Check (SORI), Finger Printing, and Department of Children and Families. Preference given to persons who speak: Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Haitian Creole, Arabic, or Southeast Asian language, as the community representation and positional needs require.
