Riverside Community Care Recovery Coach - Somerville Outpatient in Somerville, Massachusetts

We make a difference - in your community and in your career.

Recovery Coach

In this vital role, the primary responsibility of a recovery coach is to support the voices and choices of the people they help, removing obstacles to recovery, linking Members to a recovery community, and serve as a personal guide and mentor. The recovery coach will work with the individual to develop a Wellness Plan that orients the activities of the recovery coach's service.

The Recovery Coach is an integral part of the interdisciplinary Outpatient Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) team. As a person with lived experience with substance use recovery, the RC will act as an advocate, mentor, and liaison to persons served. The Recovery Coach will help to identify person served barriers to and preferences for care, particularly as it relates to the client experience entering treatment (for the first time, or perhaps after a reoccurrence), accessing or coordinating care with providers, and developing holistic compliments to their treatment.

The key duties include:

  • Individual coaching, co-facilitation of groups with clinicians.

  • Treatment team coordination.

  • Providing the forum for the Recovery Coach to make person-centered recommendations that inform policy and procedure in the program.

  • Support a person’s first day in our Medication Assisted Treatment program alongside nurses, clinicians, and prescribers, will connect with people walking into our urgent/open access, and will make warm referrals to other supports and services.

Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours with the following schedule:

  • Monday, Thursday at our Somerville Connect2Recovery program

  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday at our Somerville Outpatient program

Salary $21.63 per hour with increases for CPS and CARC certification
