Job Overview:
The Nurse Manager is a registered professional nurse who, under the direction of the Nurse Director of Oncology Operations and Outpatient Infusion, coordinates available resources to efficiently and effectively provide professional nursing care of a quality consistent with the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Standards of Care for the patients assigned to his/her unit,
Required:
Active RN New Jersey License
BLS from the American Heart Association
BSN
Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required or must obtain within 6 months of hire date
1-3 relative clinical practice
Preferred:
OCN
Oncology/Chemo experience
Previous Leadership Experience
Essential Duties:
The Nurse Manager demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to make decisions regarding the provision of age appropriate care for the unit's patient population.
Ensure that unit is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws, and regulations.
Manages patient care delivery, the unit operations, development/management of personnel, fosters interdisciplinary collaborative relationship, professional development, and demonstrate an awareness of patient safety initiatives at RWJUH,
Scheduling:
40 hours a week - Days
Occasional weekend supervision as needed,
