Florida Crystals Corporation Refinery Production Supervisor in South Bay, Florida

Florida Crystals is a leading domestic sugar producer and North America's first fully integrated cane sugar company, guiding our sugar from farm to table. OVERVIEW

The Refinery Production Supervisor oversees the production/operations of the refinery and specialty sugars. Provides all necessary supervision as management representative for one shift of refinery employees and maintenance personnel. Must be able to assist as process operator in all positions as needed.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for all aspects of the refinery process, production, quality, safety, and supervision of employees involved in the production of refined and specialty sugars.

  • Directs, instructs, and assist employees as needed in all areas of operations, including but not limited to: sanitation, GMP’s, quality, industrial safety, food safety, and maintenance.

  • Controls production rate, directs refinery stops and starts, and any process repairs.

  • Monitors analytical data to assure production stays within predetermined quality parameters, and verifies and assures all SQF/GMP documentation, policies, and procedures.

  • Maintains safe operations by all employees on shift. Writes maintenance work orders.

  • Serves as team member for the Quality Control Committee and assists in quality compliance.

  • Participates in monthly quality team self-inspections, facilitates weekly employee safety meetings, and conducts routine safety inspections.

    WORK EXPERIENCES

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in some area of equivalent sugar processing, or refining operations.

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent manufacturing experience. Minimum 2 years’ experience in some area of equivalent sugar processing, or refining operations.
