Job Title: CNC Machine Operator
Job Description
This role is more than just a button pusher. The individual will set up their machine, perform tool changes and tear downs, read micrometers and calipers, and interpret blueprints/drawings to create parts. Additionally, they will inspect parts to ensure quality and perform minor maintenance on the machine, with training provided if necessary.
Responsibilities
Set up CNC machines
Perform tool changes and tear downs
Read and interpret micrometers, calipers, and blueprints/drawings
Inspect parts to ensure there are no flaws
Perform minor machine maintenance
Essential Skills
1+ years of experience setting up machines (Mill or Haas)
1+ years of experience tearing down and performing tool changes on Mills or Haas
1+ years of CNC operation on Mills or Haas
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Proficiency in reading measuring instruments, specifically micrometers and calipers
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to read blueprints
Experience in machine maintenance
Experience in automotive manufacturing

Work Environment
The work environment includes 1st Shift M-F (6am-2:30 PM), 2nd Shift M-F (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM), and 3rd Shift Sun-Thur (10 PM to 6:30 AM). The company, established in 1920, operates in the power transmission market and is an international supplier of flexible shaft couplings, gears, speed drives, and other power transmission components. The manufacturing process primarily involves machining and assembly. The facility is fairly clean, bright, with a long line of machines, and includes a large warehouse with small assembly stations. Though not climate controlled, it maintains a decent environment with minimal heat and a slight smell of oil and metal.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Haven, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $27.00
