Job Summary:

Heavenly Mountain Resort is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to lead our Dispatch Department as a Supervisor. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth daily operations, supporting the dispatch team, and contributing to the overall success of the resort. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a dynamic, high-pressure environment, demonstrates strong leadership skills, and is willing to assist in various areas across the resort.

Job Responsibilities:

Team Management:

  • Lead and supervise a team of dispatchers, ensuring high levels of productivity and morale.

  • Create and manage team schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations.

  • Train and mentor team members, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Operational Duties:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the dispatch department, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.

  • Manage a high volume of calls efficiently while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.

  • Monitor and order necessary materials, maintaining an organized inventory.

  • Balance and manage the department’s checkbook and budgets, adhering to resort financial guidelines.

  • Attend meetings and provide updates on department performance, challenges, and needs.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Utilize dispatch software and systems effectively; must be computer savvy.

  • Maintain accurate digital records and logs; typing proficiency is required.

  • Exhibit strong multitasking abilities, especially under high-pressure situations.

Resort Support:

  • Collaborate with other departments and assist in various resort operations as needed.

  • Be willing to help with snow shoveling, parking lot management, and other tasks during high-demand periods.

  • Take full ownership of the dispatch department, setting standards for excellence and efficiency.

Job Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a dispatch or logistics environment.

  • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.

  • Proficiency in managing budgets and financial records.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and multitask effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in computer systems, dispatch software, and typing.

  • Willingness to perform physical tasks such as snow shoveling or parking lot assistance.

Schedule and Compensation:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.

  • 11-month position with opportunities for renewal or growth within the resort.

The expected pay range is $25 - $26. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
