Job Description:
Provides support and guidance on all aspects of manual and robotic welding including costs, quality, compliance to safety guidelines, and environmental requirements. Ideal candidate has a mix of robotic welding and hands on welding experience, a sound understanding of welding fundamentals and theory, and a strong understanding / working knowledge of Microsoft O/S and related applications.
Basic Qualifications
Robotic welding programming experience
Considerable hands-on arc welding experience with a strong focus on heavy plate welding using the GMAW process and a thorough understanding of the technical aspects of welding, including processes and metallurgy
Ability to successfully communicate and work with welders, welding operators, maintenance technicians, and engineers in training, troubleshooting, consulting, and research/development activities
Analyze and deploy engineering changes through the creation and maintenance of standard work instructions
Coordinates the introduction of new machines (NPI) and equipment and process changes to provide the most efficient and economical manufacture of quality parts in alignment with APQP
Top Candidates Will Have:
Offline programming experience

• Develops best practices documentation for all major activities and tasks.
• Trains others on all major tasks and considerations for the full manufacturing process.
• Participates in measuring and monitoring new processes and technologies.
• Selects and optimizes specific methodologies for specific products.
• Evaluates benefits, drawbacks and appropriateness of alternative processes and technologies.
Manufacturing Safety:
• Consults on the use of new tools and techniques for safety protection.
• Performs safety inspections to assure compliance with OSHA requirements.
• Designs and implements emergency response processes and procedures.
• Promotes workplace safety among supervisors and workers; communicates safety rules and regulations.
• Assesses and reports unusual or new safety hazards or violations; initiates corrective action.
• Ensures that all employees and contractors comply with relevant safety policies and regulations.
Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies:
• Consults on development and implementation of cross-functional standards.
• Participates in the development of organizational policies and practices.
• Develops and uses control and monitoring mechanisms for adherence.
• Collaborates with other functions on establishing and documenting joint standards.
• Participates in defining architectural principles and standards for organization.
• Ensures communication vehicles are effectively informing affected areas and employees.
Problem Management Process - MFG:
• Uses a specific discipline or approach to problem solving and resolution.
• Works with features of problem reporting and tracking software.

Summary Pay Range:
$87,480.00 - $131,280.00
