Maine Veterans' Homes Maintenance Worker II in South Paris, Maine

Job Descriptions:

We are seeking a Maintenance Worker II to join our dedicated team at MVH – South Paris. The Maintenance Worker II performs maintenance and repair work to buildings, grounds and equipment, in order to provide a safe, functional, sanitary and comfortable environment for the residents, employees and the public. This position also assists the Environmental Services Manager in meeting environmental care compliance with all federal and state regulations. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, and shares in the weekend on-call responsibility.

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of three years of experience, education and/or training in general maintenance and repair work, with a basic knowledge of carpentry, masonry, electrical work, plumbing, painting, grounds keeping, and custodial functions.

  • Experience in a healthcare environment helpful.

  • Must possess and maintain a current and valid State of Maine driver’s license.
