Job Title: Production Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling daily production runs and planning for future runs. You will motivate, support, and provide guidance to the production staff. Ensuring safety and health standards are met to keep the organization accident-free is a key responsibility. Additionally, you will evaluate machine resources to ensure continued production, establish a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs, set productivity goals for team members, and develop procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety and quality. Ensuring adequate scheduling of staff and performing other duties as assigned are also part of the role.
Hard Skills
3+ years of experience as a production manager in manufacturing a physical/tangible product
Familiarity with manufacturing principles and methodologies (Six Sigma, 5s, Kanban, Lean, Waterfall)
Understanding of general quality control and safety standards
Great organizational skills
Experience in assessing current and upcoming projects, establishing goals, training employees, developing plans to hit goals, and implementing them
ERP experience
Soft Skills
Motivating and supporting staff
Setting productivity goals
Developing efficient procedures
Balancing productivity and cost reduction
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in South San Francisco, California.
Work Environment
Small print shop environment, managing 12-15 people (print press operators, general laborers, receivers/shippers, laminators, graphic designer). The shop includes 2-3 large format machines, several smaller format machines, and 2 lamination stations.
