Responsibilities:

• Provide care to patients and their owners in a clean and comfortable environment.

• Administer medications, perform diagnostic tests, and provide treatments such as dental care, wound care, and medication management.

• Provide physical examinations and diagnostic tests.

• Collect samples for lab testing.

• Provide wound care including debridement, cleaning, and healing support.

• Clean up wounds and examine patients for complications.

• Perform surgical procedures.

• Handle emergency cases.

• Communicate with the veterinarian or veterinarian assistants regarding the treatment of patients.

VCA South Shore Weymouth Specialty Animals Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic experienced overnight veterinary technician to join our growing Technician Team !

Veterinary Technician Duties:

• Procedural anesthesia monitoring

• Full Technician Skill Utilization

• Collecting patient histories & thorough physical exams

• Venipuncture / IVC placement

• Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)

• Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services

• Providing compassionate care for all patients

Compensation: $19.50 - 30.00/hour(pay dependent on experience and skill set)

We offer a generous overnight shift differential for eligible hours worked.
