TEKsystems AVD Engineer in Southfield, Michigan

Description:

Our client is looking to add a Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer to their team to assist with the day to day management, support, and administration of their virtual desktop environment. They are currently fully integrated into Azure Virtual Desktop as well as Windows Virtual Desktop across their entire environment. This is very similar to what Citrix is like, however the latest and greatest that Microsoft has come up with and mirrors Citrix in a lot of ways. They currently have a lead engineer that owns the environment, as well as a another person who helps with the administration and support. They are looking to add a mid-level AVD Admin to assist with the day to day support, help with application testing as well as helping patch the systems. They are not looking for an expert, but rather a mid-level admin/engineer that can continue to grow underneath their lead engineer. They are hoping to find someone that brings the AVD/WVD skills + experience with Windows servers & providing desktop support duties too.

They utilize AVD to assist with users when there are network outages that effect pockets of users. In all they have 25 different AVD environments that include testing, production, and development.

They have entire sites that consist of thin clients rather than PC's, Laptops, or Desktops so someone that has experience with supporting and patching thin clients would be ideal. Good soft skills are a must as they will work with the different users when outages occur.
