Eaton Corporation Field Project Manager in Southfield, Michigan

Eaton’s North American Sales division is currently seeking a Field Project Manager. This remote role will be strategically based in Glendale Heights, IL Indianapolis, IN, Southfield, MI, Louisville, KY, Cleveland, OH, Chanhassen, MI or Waukesha, WI.

What you’ll do:

Our Field Project Managers play a crucial role in setting us apart from our competitors. They immerse themselves in the intricate electrical and mechanical aspects of significant strategic project orders, with a focus on diverse sectors such as heavy multitenant high rise, hospital, university, commercial construction, data center, utility, and industrial projects.

They involve meticulously managing the technical facets of major electrical assembly project orders. This includes ensuring that customer specifications are met, adhering to tight timelines for product delivery, documentation, and maintaining top-notch quality. they prioritize exceptional customer service, ensuring that clients receive personalized attention and support throughout the project lifecycle.

In this role, you will:

  • Be working directly with end clients, sales, and contractors in details of major strategic data center project orders

  • Effectively engage with and coordinate internal resources to enable the implementation of the Eaton Business System with our factories

  • Work to improve performance on logistics and financial management for Eaton and the customer

  • Mitigate, track, and communicate financial and schedule risks to internal stakeholders

  • Seek to collect and communicate lessons learned on the individual customer projects for communication to other project teams engaged with products, both with the project management organization and the sales teams

  • Seek and communicate to sales potential opportunities for increasing product utilization within a customer’s electrical system design through a recognition of available Eaton products

  • Create value in the order management process and demonstrate Eaton’s project execution as a key differentiator to separate us from our competitors

  • Negotiate internally for resources and priorities needed for customers

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum five (5) years of project management experience

  • Sponsorship is not available. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without requiring company sponsorship.

  • Relocation is not available. Candidates must live within 50 mile radius of given locations.

  • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field

  • Electrical industry experience

  • Electrical industry experience and product knowledge with focus on the following customer bases: Hyperscale, Government, Utility, Commercial Construction, etc.

  • PMP certification

  • Experience working with and managing projects for multiple large industrial and institutional customers

The expected annual salary range for this role is $86997.6 - $136399.96 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
