Exciting Opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer II in the Aerospace Industry!
Our client, a leader in the aerospace industry, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer II, you will be part of the Eaton Research Labs supporting the Engineering and Operations Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to resolving issues which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Soutfield, MI
Pay Range: $ 43-48/hr
What’s the Job?
Contribute to the planning and execution of assigned tasks in a timely and proficient manner.
Develop and sustain new processes associated with polymer additive manufacturing and printed electronics.
Support the engineering team in producing additively manufactured (AM) parts for projects.
Construct and test prototypes and designs, presenting data efficiently and accurately to the engineering team.
Maintain laboratory equipment, machines, and material inventories needed for experimental work.
What’s Needed?
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with some manufacturing/production experience.
Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of experience in polymer additive manufacturing, such as FDM (FFF and FGF) and SLA processes or printed electronics.
Basic understanding of computer systems and networks, data analysis, and Microsoft Office skills.
Demonstrates effective communication with peers and management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with materials testing and test equipment such as tensile load frame, fatigue, rheology, TGA, DSC, DMA.
Knowledge and familiarity with a range of polymers and polymer processing technology.
Understanding of 3D printing and screen printing of electronics.
