Schwab’s Cybersecurity team is a first line of defense for Schwab. The Senior Manager of Cloud Security Engineering specializes in securing next-gen technology in the public cloud. You are a driven people leader with a deep passion to be an accelerator and change agent with the ability to build a security community and progressive Dev/SEC/Op’s culture.
You will be responsible for innovating, developing, and implementing groundbreaking capabilities to secure cloud and cloud-based workloads. You have expertise and experience in all three major Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) with both built-in native security controls and capabilities as well as third-party offerings on the market for securing cloud-native applications. This role requires expertise in the cybersecurity realm.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Supervising security measures for the protection of Cloud Infrastructure and integrations with experience in all three major CSPs
Maintains, leads, and challenges the cloud security footprint to bring continuous advancement and maturity
Assists IT operations and security owners to implement scalable security capabilities and processes in cloud-native applications
Research and recommend new security technology capabilities and their applicability within the greater organization
Experienced in being metrics driven with consistent advancement to shaping the organization’s security policies and standards for use in cloud environments
Advising and influencing multi-disciplinary teams in implementing and operating Cyber Security controls
An advocate for policy of code, security, and automation. Embracing IAC and the CICD/SDLC lifecycle towards all cloud activities
Collaborating with application developers and database administrators to deliver creative solutions to difficult technology challenges and business requirements
Applying adept understanding and experience with systems automation platforms and technologies
What you have
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
5+ years of people management within cybersecurity
8+ years of hands-on experience in network security, data security, etc.
Preferred:
Experience in Cloud Security within the Financial Services sector
Experience with native tooling in Public Cloud offerings as well as third party security controls
Multiple certifications in cybersecurity and cloud cybersecurity highly preferred (CISSP-Certified Information Systems Security Professional, CCSP - Certified Cloud Security Professional, CISM - Certified Information Security Manager, CCSK - Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge)
