Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa, Mallorca is located on a cliff and surrounded by pine forests looking over the fishing town of Port Soller.

About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeping Supervisor position to join our Housekeeping Department in Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Plan, organize and supervise all Housekeeping activities.

  • Ensure team is trained, motivated and focused.

  • Set the standards of cleanliness and maintenance of all operations.

  • Maintain the Hotel policies and procedures as agreed by the Management in accordance with The Hotel’s business plan.

  • Liaise with Front Office on forecasting VIP arrivals and ensure the smooth flow of communication between the Departments.

  • To conduct periodic inspections throughout the hotel to assess the cleaning standards.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in Housekeeping in an International Hotel Company.

  • Minimum of 1 year’s management experience in a high volume of housekeeping role.

  • Experience in managing outsourced labour and casual staff requirements.

  • Previous Housekeeping & Laundry experience as well guest/employee relations training.

  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, use and requirements or equipment.

  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling.

  • Ability to communicate satisfactorily in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.

Skills

  • Excellent level of English and Spanish.

  • Excellent organizational and team management skills.

  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of OPERA and other hotels system would be an advantage.

  • Interpersonal skills with proven ability to lead a team and manage conflict.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information and convey the same sense of confidentiality to all employees.
