Rexel USA Industrial Automation Field Service Technician in Sparks Glencoe, Maryland
What You’ll Need
High School or GED
Associate's of Science Degree in Engineering or Technology or technological training preferred
4 Year / Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related technology-driven degree preferred
3+ years of hands-on experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment
Exposure to industrial Lockout Tag out standards and best practices
Exposure to industrial Arch Flash standards and best practices
Exposure to Industrial Control Systems including PLC, HMI/SCADA, plant historian, motor control, motion control, etc. technology and applications (Rockwell or comparable platforms)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to read prints and documentation regarding a machine or process
Ability to manage time between jobs and while on the job during a project or other engagement
Ability to gather data for future projects that management can use to create a scope document for the proposal
Ability to drive utilization to target goals set by management
Ability to work with sales on multiple customer engagements
Ability to respond promptly to requests for support
Ability to learn on the job and always be improving skills and abilities
Strong interpersonal communications, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing demands
Examples of being self-motivated and able to work independently
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
