Description
We are offering an opportunity for an interim Controller role in the manufacturing industry, located in Spartanburg, SC .
The person in this role will oversee various accounting and finance responsibilities, including but not limited to, managing overall accounting functions, performing monthly closings, preparing for audits, and tax filing. This role also involves hands-on work on reconciliations and cleanup in the SAP system.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the overall accounting and finance responsibilities of the team
• Conduct monthly closings, MIS reporting, and bank reporting
• Lead and prepare for audits and tax filing
• Work hands-on with reconciliations and SAP cleanup
• Utilize ERP solutions to streamline accounting functions
• Apply auditing skills to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial procedures
• Manage budget processes to ensure financial stability
• Perform month-end close procedures in a timely manner
• Apply tax knowledge to prepare and file tax documents
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Carry out audit tasks as needed to maintain financial integrity.
Requirements • Proven experience in a Controller role within the Manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in ERP Solutions such as SAP
• Demonstrable knowledge of Accounting Functions and Auditing procedures
• Experience with Budget Processes, Month End Close procedures, and Tax preparations
• Ability to perform Reconciliations and Bank Reconciliations
• Familiarity with Audit processes and regulations
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Excellent analytical and strategic planning abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Relevant professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are preferred
• Demonstrable integrity and professional ethics.
