Continental Contractors, Inc General Laborer in Spokane Valley, Washington
Job Purpose: Supports operations by assisting heavy equipment operators with grading and digging. Assists pipefitters with moving materials, digging and miscellaneous labor-intensive tasks. Training will be provided on the job site.
Duties: * Organizes work by checking work schedule.
Prepares work site by obtaining and delivering equipment, tools, supplies, and materials work for job foreman and pipefitters.
Maintains clean and safe work site by removing scrap; erecting barriers; disposing of hazardous materials; following safety rules and procedures; wearing personal protective equipment.
Dig trenches and back fill using shovels and compaction equipment.
Returns items to storage inventory by loading, moving, and unloading items.
Supports work processes by inspecting, preparing, sorting, digging, measuring, cutting, adding, trimming, and loading materials.
Maintains great communication between leadership and fellow workers.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Skills/Qualifications: Speaks some English; lifting consistently up to 50 pounds; planning; inventory management; inventory control; general math skills; equipment maintenance; power tools; measuring; shoveling; raking; informing others; mechanically inclined; ambitious; hard worker.
Job Information: Need 10 workers. Seasonal. Temporary. H-2B from 04/01/2025 - 11/30/2025. Wage Offers and Availability of Overtime Pay: Worker will be paid no less than $25.25 per hour. Overtime hours may vary, depending on weather and other conditions, and will be paid at $37.88 per hour. Worksite Locations: Work will be performed in Spokane, Washington; Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; Spokane Valley, Washington; Airway Heights, Washington; Cheney, Washington; Post Falls, Idaho; Liberty Lake, Washington; Coeur d'Alene, Idaho Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA); and the Spokane-Spokane Valley, Washington MSA. Availability of on-the-Job Training: The employer provides on-the-job training. Single workweek for pay: Payroll is done weekly on Friday. A single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Provision of Board/Lodging or Other Facilities: The employer does not provide any type of housing. Deductions from the Worker's Paycheck: The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law. Inbound/Outbound Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Daily Transportation: Daily transportation to and from the job site will be provided by the employer. First Work Week Reimbursement: The employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but need not include passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). Provision of Tools, Supplies, and Equipment: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. 3/4 Guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
