Northwest Farm Credit Services 2025 Summer Internship- Enterprise Risk Management in Spokane, Washington

We are in search of a Risk Management Intern to join our Enterprise Risk Management department in our Spokane, Washington, Headquarters location. This is a temporary position, reporting to the VP, Enterprise Risk Management, that will learn from and assist the ERM team. This internship is designed to provide a realistic job preview and insights to the career opportunities and potential that exists at AgWest, primarily in the areas of fraud, allowance, counterparty/vendor management, and corporate insurance. This position is in-office and summer hours will be up to 40 per week. Compensation Information $21.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience Minimum Qualifications Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, business analytics, mathematics/statistics, data science/management, agricultural economics or related field Junior or senior standing Preferred Qualifications Basic proficiency with Power BI, R, SQL, Business Objects, or other data analysis tools Basic knowledge of statistical and financial analytical tools and accounting principles (GAAP) Job Requirements Assist with the development of predictive key sustainability risk indicators to assist management in the early identification of risk trends; conduct analysis and data mining to identify, validate, and enumerate existing and emerging risks. Assist with preparation of reports, data visualizations, and presentations that outline findings, explain risk positions, and recommended changes. Assist business units in the identification, evaluation, understanding, management, and communication of significant risks; assists with the development and maintenance of risk frameworks, methodologies and assessments. Coordinate with team members and employees across organization to complete projects. AgWest internships are full-time, paid, and generally last from approximately June through early/mid-August.
